The Government has won today’s confidence vote in Dáil Éireann - 92 votes to 78.
But let’s be clear…
This is not a loss for the people of Ireland.
This is a moment of reckoning.
A week of protests.
A country under pressure.
And still - the system protects itself.
So I ask the question:
👉 Did all 92 deputies vote with conviction - or because they had to?
Because leadership should serve the people - not protect power.
I have never voted for Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael.
I was raised in a political environment - I understand what’s at stake.
My great grand uncle, Austin Stack, served as Minister for Home Affairs in the early Irish government.
He fought for Irish freedom.
He stood against oppression.
He died at just 49 years old.
That legacy does not end today.
And neither does the responsibility we all carry.
Respect where it’s due - Michael Healy-Rae made a stand.
He stepped down and chose to vote against the Government.
That takes courage in a system where many fall in line.
