Two weeks to go to my initial Scans and Consultation in Bucharest.
While the Department of Health amend the current scheme unfortunately for many of us that will take a considerable length of time.
My initial costs for my first three days in Romania are as follows.
Flights and accommodation to travel €443.64
Scans for Brain, Bowel, Diaphragm & Pelvis €900
Consultation €150
Potential CT scan on Day 2 depending on how the scans go Day 1 is an added €450
That’s an upfront total of €1,943.64
In order for me to get Travel Abroad covered a consultant is needed to sign the paperwork which there are none currently in Ireland.
In order to qualify for Cross Border Directive the daily reimbursement is €194 per day max!
This has given me no other option but to crowdfund!
Any reimbursement that I can get back from the government will be invested into the Cneasú Community Projects so I am hugely grateful for every and all the support even if that means sharing my posts if you are not in the financial position to pledge.
Having the added burden of funding treatment outside of Ireland is something that should never be inflicted on any individual however this is the reality for many.
