Hi everyone,
Islington Council seems to want to ignore us, but we think our community should be heard.
We've seen messages in which we are called nimby's, but we've seen nothing that shows they are willing to compromise, nor to listen to our argument for a better park plan that meets more people's needs.
The cricketers even say they have nowhere else to go, but that's not really true when there are so many pitches nearby.
We need to keep up the pressure, and really need your help to do so.
We are putting together some campaign resources which will be made available at www.mywray.org.uk but we also have a poster you can download now.
Please print out the poster and put it in places people might see it.
The poster is to help promote this petition. We need to keep building up the pressure if we are to be heard, as our local representatives don't want to listen to the many, but the few.
Please put the poster in your windows, or ask you local shops, businesses or anywhere else you can think of to put it up, or just print out some copies and pop them through your neighbour's doors.
We are in an unequal fight. On the one hand there's the community around Wray Crescent who have so many wishes for the park, none of which are being met under the plan Islington has put forward; on the other there's cricket, well-funded clubs like Middlesex, and our local politicians who seem to want to ignore us.
Please help spread the word if you can.
