Iran's Democracy Does Not Need a Dictator's son. Reza Pahlavi is NOT My Representative.

Iran's Democracy Does Not Need a Dictator's son. Reza Pahlavi is NOT My Representative.
The Issue
Iran is the birthplace of the first federal empire in history. Her genuine, historic leaders such as Cyrus the Great, Mohamed Mossadegh and various others have been examples of Iran’s outstanding potentials wishing to contribute to national and regional prosperity, progress, cultural and artistic wealth, and peace.
Various polls and surveys inside Iran have consistently shown Iranians want a just and democratic governing system, respecting their wills, freedom, and friendship with other nations. To the contrary, for more than 4 decades now, Iran has been ruled by a brutal and corrupt regime, steadfastly imposing its tyranny on Iranians via oppression, public executions, imprisonment, control of media (including the social media), consistent brutality and mismanagement, resulting in a bankrupt economy, a jobless market, a nearly worthless currency and one of world’s worst inflation rates. Whatever is left, belongs mostly to the ruling elites. Islamic Republic of Iran suppresses nearly every aspect of freedom in Iran: Choice of what to wear, say, publish, or who to elect to lead the country. It will go down in history as one of the worst oppressive regimes in modern times. No wonder, Iran is going through a deep turmoil and the regime foundations appear cracking.
No doubt, freedom will prevail and Iran will transition to a just and democratic system, which brings us to the main point.
While in these critical days the new Iranian revolution needs the right leadership, there is an ongoing illusion that Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Shah of Iran, has the leadership quality and skills to lead the new Iran. BUT THIS IS ONLY A FANTASY. Mr. Pahlavi’s father, the last Shah of Iran, was a dictator himself, vastly blocking freedom and human rights in Iran. Since his emergence to power by the British in 1941, he often put his opponents on trial, jailed or even executed them. Not much criticism in the media was allowed. in 1953, he lost his power temporarily against the hugely popular nationalist Dr. Mohamad Mossadegh and fled the country but was again installed into power via a coup d'état designed and executed jointly by the CIA and the MI6 (the US and Britain intelligent services). In 1975, the Shah banned all the political parties in Iran, replacing them instead with his own party called Rastaakhiz! For many years, his dreadful secret police known as Savak, vastly suppressed and eliminated the opposition, including killing many under torture, the details of which are broadly documented. Many historians believe that the closed political atmosphere created in Iran by the Shah’s government, which limited free exchanges of thoughts, debates, or discussions, is mostly responsible for the clergyman Ayatollah Khomeini to easily gain people’s naïve trust, achieving power in 1979.
Mr. Reza Pahlavi has never acknowledged nor apologized for his father’s enormous wrongdoing. He does not have the skills, nor the moral qualifications to lead the future Iran into social and political prosperity.
A nation that does not learn from its past, will repeat the same mistakes.
PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION: FREEDOM-LOVING IRANIANS DESERVE BETTER and have plenty of bright and qualified intellectuals to lead them, “NOT” MR. REZA PAHLAVI. HE IS NOT OUR REPRESENTATIVE.
