Maclean's magazine, Global News, the Globe and Mail and Canadian Press have picked up the story about this petition calling on Prime Minister Trudeau to revoke Aung San Suu Kyi's honourary Canadian citizenship. The Maclean's and Global News stories were posted on their websites on Sept. 7th while the stories from the Globe and Mail and Canadian Press will be posted in the coming days. In a press conference after a Liberal caucus meeting in Kelowna, BC today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked by a reporter about the push to revoke Suu Kyi's honourary Canadian citizenship. He sidestepped the question and failed to call out Suu Kyi on her unwillingness to condemn the massacre and ethnic cleansing of Rohingya. This petition has gained significant momentum over the past few days and the only way that those who have given their support to it can accomplish the goal of helping the Rohingya is to get more Canadians to support it and to send emails to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the following email address -- justin.trudeau@parl.gc.ca -- using the DRAFT LETTER that is on the petition page. Below are links to the articles covering the petition so far. Thanks for your support and please help spread the message further, especially through Canadian media.
