We, the undersigned, call on Vice President JD Vance and the members of the Cabinet of the United States to fulfill their constitutional duty and invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to remove Donald Trump from the presidency.

The President of the United States launched military strikes against Iran on February 28, 2026, without a formal declaration of war from Congress, a direct violation of the War Powers Act and the U.S. Constitution. This unauthorized war has already cost thousands of lives, destabilized the entire Middle East, and closed the Strait of Hormuz to international shipping, triggering a global economic crisis.

More alarming still, the President has publicly threatened to destroy Iranian power plants, bridges, and other critical civilian infrastructure; acts that would constitute war crimes under international law and the Geneva Conventions, which the United States has signed and is bound to uphold.

The President's erratic late-night social media posts, his dismissal of diplomatic channels, his firing of advisors who raised concerns, and his threats to civilian populations reveal a pattern of conduct that is not merely reckless, but also it reflects an inability to discharge the powers and duties of the office safely, rationally, and lawfully.

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment was designed precisely for this moment. It allows the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the President unable to fulfill his duties and transfer power to the Vice President immediately. This is not a partisan act, it is a constitutional safeguard. Conservatives and liberals alike have reached the same conclusion.
