Two people were shot by federal immigration agents outside a Portland hospital. A day earlier, ICE agents killed a woman in Minnesota. Officials claim these were “targeted stops,” but there is no independent proof, and the public deserves answers.

These shootings are part of a growing pattern of aggressive immigration enforcement tactics under the Trump administration. The people of Portland deserve safety, transparency, and respect for civil rights—not chaos and bloodshed in their neighborhoods.

Oregon leaders, including the Attorney General, City Council, and members of the State Legislature, are already speaking out. It’s time to add your voice.

We call on:

• The FBI to conduct a full, public investigation into this and other ICE shootings
• The Department of Homeland Security to pause enforcement operations in Portland until the investigation is complete
• Congress to provide oversight and accountability for federal agents acting in U.S. cities

Portland is not a testing ground for militarized immigration tactics. This violence must stop before more lives are lost.
