The Issue

A group in Arkansas is openly building a “white-only town” — and claiming it’s legal.

The group, called Return to the Land (RTTL), is constructing a 160-acre compound in the Ozarks where only people of “European ancestry” are allowed.

They’re banning Muslims, LGBTQ+ people, and anyone who doesn’t fit their definition of “whiteness.” Members even undergo video interviews to prove their race before they can buy land.

They’re calling it a private club. We call it what it is: housing discrimination and a civil rights violation.

This is not just talk. RTTL is raising money, expanding, and planning new compounds — all while openly referencing Nazi slogans and promoting white nationalist ideologies.

They believe the Fair Housing Act doesn’t apply to them. They believe civil rights laws can be sidestepped. And they think no one will stop them.

We’re calling on the U.S. Department of Justice, HUD, and the Arkansas Attorney General to immediately investigate this group’s use of a Private Membership Association (PMA) to exclude people based on race, religion, and identity — and to enforce the civil rights protections this country is built on.

This isn’t just about one town in the woods — it’s about whether hate can find a legal loophole and call it home.
