The Issue

I’m writing this petition from a place of deep frustration and personal hardship caused by DriveTime, Carvana, and their affiliates, SilverRock and Bridgecrest. All owned by the same family!!  My journey with them began with high hopes and has left me grappling with distress from what I firmly believe to be consumer fraud.

On the day I drove my first car off the lot from DriveTime, excitement turned to despair as the vehicle broke down. Despite their seemingly helpful gestures to replace the faulty car, the second vehicle was no better, leaving me stranded with recurrent mechanical issues. All roads led back to the same entities: the warranty through SilverRock and financing through Bridgecrest, both under the umbrella of a family-owned conglomerate infamous for its deceptive practices.

The founder, a convicted felon, has accumulated billions while innocent customers, like myself, are stripped of their hard-earned money and left with more hardships. It's a deeply systemic issue where potential scams hide behind convoluted corporate structures, resulting in undetected consumer exploitation.

Statistically, autodealerships have a fiduciary duty to ensure the vehicles sold are roadworthy and that any warranties provided are both legitimate and honored. However, DriveTime's approach showcases a pattern reminiscent of predatory practices. According to consumer reports, a substantial percentage of purchasers report significant issues within days of acquisition, which raises questions about vehicle inspection standards and ethical sales practices.

We cannot stand by while such injustices occur unchecked. I urge regulators to thoroughly investigate these allegations of fraud and hold those responsible accountable for their actions. It's essential that protective measures be enforced to shield potential buyers from these deceptive schemes and to ensure transparency within the car retail sector.

Join me in demanding action against these practices. Your signature helps amplify this call for a fair market and consumer justice. Sign the petition today and help drive change!
