Investigate Corruption and Irresponsibility within the Social Services Agency

Investigate Corruption and Irresponsibility within the Social Services Agency
The Issue
In December 2020, my three daughters were taken from me due to my struggle with substance abuse. Despite my numerous achievements in recovery, the Social Services Agency (SSA) and Child Protective Services (CPS) refused to acknowledge them in court. Every step I took towards reunification was met with fabricated stories that delayed the process until time ran out. Shockingly, they had already placed my girls in homes ready for adoption before our case even fully began. My appeal was denied by the Supreme Court without being read.
This is not just about me; it's about countless parents who are struggling with similar circumstances across our nation. Too often, SSA/CPS preys on those less fortunate or battling life's challenges like substance abuse disorders. They claim to offer services but refuse actual assistance needed for family reunification.
According to a report by National Coalition for Child Protection Reform (NCCPR), as many as two-thirds of children removed from their homes could have remained safely there if their parents received adequate help (NCCPR, 2015). This statistic reflects a system that is failing families instead of supporting them.
We demand an investigation into these corrupt practices within SSA/CPS that tear families apart rather than helping them heal together. We call upon our lawmakers and justice system to hold these agencies accountable for their actions and implement changes that truly serve the best interests of children and families.
I am currently 2 years sober this April (2024) and work for a hospital. I also have custody of my 16 year old son, and newborn 3 month old daughter. I have completed rehab in 2022, and I am in the works to become an addictions counselor.
The adoptive parents have broken a court ordered agreement to send four (4) email updates of my 2 daughter's with pictures, but the SSA refuses to keep them accountable with this order.
My other daughter was removed from the home her sisters are in, after she outed them for child molestation (which conveniently the SSA/CPS decided to investigate myself for doing, even though she was never with me during the alleged dates, and I was cleared of any wrongdoing) which the case and allegations was never explored further once the "drug addict" was cleared, because they didn't want to look bad for placing her in a home that hurt her. She often had bruises and burns, cuts and bite marks, but no one would do anything about it, thus that family "got rid of her because she was too much to handle" (mind you, she was 3 when this all started).
I will never get them back, but if we work together, we can make a change for future families and hopefully stop the corruption of the SSA/CPS departments.
I understand my actions lead me to having SSA/CPS involved, but I have since more than corrected those actions. I, too, was a failed foster child, now I am a failed parent once more at the hands of Social Services.
Please sign this petition if you believe in justice, family unity, and holding public agencies accountable for their actions.
