Investigate Benjamin Doyle and the Green Party for Alleged Child Exploitation

The issue

I, like many, am deeply disturbed by the behavior and apparent symbolism used by Benjamin Doyle in relation to minors. This issue is particularly concerning as Mr. Doyle's parliamentary duties involve elements of childcare and education. Key indicators have raised red flags in regards to the language and terminology used in pictures with a child.
It is an issue of paramount importance that we hold public officials and their associated bodies to the highest standards.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 34, clearly states that governments should protect children from all forms of sexual exploitation and abuse. This pushes beyond partisan politics into a matter concerning basic human decency and the rights of our children.

The safety and wellbeing of our children should never be compromised, especially by those we entrust with their safeguarding.

In New Zealand, child exploitation is a growing concern with hundreds of cases reported every year according to the Department of Internal Affairs. We cannot afford to overlook allegations that involve public figures, as it sends a dangerous message about our society's commitment to child protection.

Roger McPherson, Strategic Intelligence Manager at the Department of Internal Affairs, has stated that, "Sexual exploitation of children is a heinous crime and we are committed to holding those responsible to account". It is this commitment that we urge to be applied in the case of Benjamin Doyle and the Green Party.

Together, let's raise our voices and demand an investigation to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children from potential predatory behavior. Differing political views aside, the safety of our children is paramount. Thank you for your anticipated support in this deeply personal and urgent matter. Please sign this petition and voice your concern.
