Invest in Black Women: Powering Our History, Securing Our Future

The Issue

UNDENIABLE TRUTH:

Black women have always been the backbone of our communities, the drivers of progress, and the keepers of our culture. Yet, systemic inequities have consistently undervalued their contributions and limited their economic and digital potential. It's time to change that. It's time to invest in Black women, both economically and digitally.

THE SOLUTION:

ROOTED 2025 is a groundbreaking 10-day national movement (April 10-19, 2025) that will be the largest digital sit-in celebrating Black women in history. We're uniting 100,000+ participants across 10 cities and online to demand national recognition of Black Women's History Month and to directly drive economic and digital empowerment for Black women.

JOIN OUR DIGITAL SIT-IN

THIS MATTERS BECAUSE:

Economic Growth: Investing in Black women-owned businesses is not just about fairness; it's about smart economics. Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the United States, and their success fuels job creation and strengthens communities. When Black women thrive, we all thrive.

Historical Justice: Black women have faced generations of systemic discrimination and economic exclusion. Investing in their future and ensuring their digital sovereignty is a crucial step towards rectifying past injustices and building a more equitable society.

Untapped Potential: Black women possess incredible talent, creativity, and resilience. By removing barriers and providing access to resources, including the tools and knowledge for digital empowerment, we unleash their full potential to innovate, lead, and transform our world.

Community Impact: Black women-owned businesses are often deeply rooted in their communities, providing essential services, creating jobs, and serving as centers of cultural and social life. Supporting these businesses and equipping Black women with digital literacy strengthens the fabric of our society.

Digital Sovereignty: In the 21st century, digital literacy and control over one's online presence are essential for economic success and personal agency. ROOTED 2025 is committed to empowering Black women with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital landscape safely, confidently, and on their own terms.

THE COMMITMENT:

ROOTED 2025 is committed to:

Driving $25M+ in direct spending to Black women-owned businesses through targeted "buy-ins," corporate partnerships, and our Freedom Routes activations in 10 cities across the nation.
