Introduce Fishing, Hunting, Mechanic, and Motocross Classes in Schools

Introduce Fishing, Hunting, Mechanic, and Motocross Classes in Schools
The Issue
This petition stems from a personal desire I have carried throughout my life- a yearning to learn about fishing, hunting, mechanic lessons, and motocross. It has come to my attention that many of our educational institutions lack practical courses, pushing theoretical knowledge while sidelining classes that promote real-life skills. An education designed for the textbook but detached from the real world does not develop well-rounded individuals.
Fishing and hunting are not just hobbies but lessons in patience, responsibility, and respect for nature. Moreover, they can teach students about natural conservation and indigenous knowledge systems (World Fishing & Aquaculture, 2016). Mechanic classes open doors to understanding the basics of car maintenance and repair, leading to self-sufficiency in time of emergencies.
Lastly, introducing Motocross lessons promotes physical fitness and the spirit of competitiveness while teaching students about safety and discipline. According to the American Motorcyclist Association, motocross is a sport that demands strength, control, and decision-making skills (AMA, 2019).
Including these classes in our school curriculum will be a step towards holistic education that values practical skills and non-traditional subjects, thereby creating opportunities beyond mainstream career paths. These classes can ensure that our students are not just academically competent, but equipped with real-world skills essential for life — let's not limit education to the four walls of a classroom.
Please sign this petition to urge educators and policymakers to integrate fishing, hunting, mechanic, and motocross lessons into the national curriculum. Your signature can help shape a more comprehensive and inclusive education for our youth.
