We are asking airlines and Manchester Airport to introduce a direct flight route between Manchester (MAN) and Prishtina (PRN).
Thousands of people living across the North of England have family, business and travel connections with Kosovo. Currently, many passengers have to use connecting flights or travel to London Luton airport.
A direct Manchester–Prishtina, Liverpool -Prishtina or Leeds - Prishtina flight would make travel faster, easier and more affordable for thousands of passengers.
We are calling on airlines such as Wizz Air, Ryanair, easyJet, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Jet2 to review the demand for this route.

Direct flights would significantly ease travel for students, professionals, and tourists who travel frequently between these two regions.
The establishment of a direct Manchester–Prishtina route would be mutually beneficial for both regions. Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas boast a vibrant, growing Kosovan community eager to facilitate cultural and economic exchanges. By providing a direct link, airlines and Manchester Airport can tap into a market with strong potential for passenger growth.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Manchester Airport is the third busiest airport in the UK, handling over 29 million passengers in 2019. With Kosovo's rapidly developing tourism sector, including a 12% increase in foreign tourists visiting in 2019 as reported by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, there’s a clear opportunity to establish a sustainable, popular route.
Manchester Airport, renowned for its range of international destinations, has the capability to support this new route. By collaborating with airlines interested in expanding their European flight networks, this service can be a reality. Government support and airline partnerships would further cement Manchester and Prishtina as hubs for cultural and economic exchange.
