On Tik Tok, many people there have been using their pets in trends that include harming their pet through forcing them to do or wear something, putting them in a situation that causes distress, and hitting their pets to the beat of the music for reactions. One of the trends I have seen is people slapping their cats and dogs in the "Nestle Crunch" Tik Tok trend. In the videos, the pets are peacefully relaxing but then suddenly disturbed as they get slapped by the person recording the Tik Tok. With that, at the end of the video the people quickly and suddenly drag their pets out of the screen by pulling them from their hind legs or at times tails, causing cats to hiss loudly and scratch while being dragged and dogs to yelp helplessly to get back up. Another trend that has been more recent is the "oh no oh no oh no no no no no no" challenge in which people are either recording and letting their pets do stuff that can harm them, therefore neglecting their pets to record the video of the pet's reactions, and or harassing their pet to the point where the pet feels threatened and then results to biting for defense. Animal abuse is not a laughing matter. No animal should be used like this for their owners to gain views in which Tik Tok needs to take action to ban this kind of content so that others that are using this platform are not being encouraged and therefore not lonely putting this whole thing to an end but letting pets live happier without being agitated from their owners recording them or get hurt. If Tik Tok does not take action then the PETA will take action to shut this kind of Tik Tok content down for good.
