what is happening??? just because animals can't speak doesn't mean humans can manhandle them mistreat them.
this is not the only case reported so far, earlier in Hassan 100+ monkeys were buried and now 150 dogs in shivamogga.
According to the research I have done, given below are some animal abuse performed by heartless creature who call themselves humans (who are not fit to be one)
Pomerian puppy thrown off from 8th floor because the neighbour was irritated
A dog raped with a screwdriver in Goa.
A monkey hung and beaten to death in Telangana.
A street dog beaten, tied to a scooter and then thrown off the second floor of a building in Ludhiana.
Sixteen puppies poisoned by nursing students in Kolkata.
A pregnant elephant died after consuming fruit loaded with firecrackers in Kerala.
Donkey tied up and beaten in pipe in Udaipur.
All these are real cases, just five out of an approximate 2,400 recorded cases of crimes against animals compiled by the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations and All Creatures Great and Small in a report titled In Their Own Right: Calling for Parity in Law for Animal Victims of Crimes.
during the period of 2010 till 2020
-720 cases of crime against street animals,
741 cases against working animals,
588 cases against companion animals and
258 cases against wild animals and birds.
Among these, approximately
1,000 cases were of brutal assault including
82 cases were of sexual abuse,
266 cases of cold-blooded murder and
over 400 cases were of violent attacks of beating, kicking, torturing, throwing acid or boiling water, maiming a part of the body, attacking with a knife or a blunt object.
Twenty of these documented cases were of assault by children.
the report also state that
-over 47 different species of wild animals, birds, street, companion and working animals suffered at the hands of humans. Some of these included pigeons, nilgais, donkeys, elephants, pigs, deers, parakeets, snakes, bears, yaks, dogs, turtles, dolphins, fox, bat, doves, hippopotamus, peacock, hyenas and many more.
Additionally, almost 4,230 dogs have been killed by mass culling drives across the country in the past five years alone. Beating animals is reported to be the most common form of assault, followed by their confinement and maiming them. The findings conclude that almost 70% of the documented cases of crimes against animals did not even make it to the news

The Act enumerates different variants of cruelty to animals under Section 11 as the following actions:
a) Beating, kicking, overriding, overloading, torturing and causing unnecessary pain to any animal.
b) Using an old or injured or unfit animal for work (the punishment applies to the owner as well as the user).
c) Administering an injurious drug/medicine to any animal.
d) Carrying an animal in any vehicle in a way that causes it pain and discomfort.
e) Keeping any animal in a cage where it doesn’t have reasonable opportunity of movement.
f) Keeping an animal on an unreasonably heavy or short chain for an unreasonable period of time.
g) Keeping an animal in total and habitual confinement with no reasonable opportunity to exercise.
h) Being an owner failing to provide the animal with sufficient food, drink or shelter.
i) Abandoning an animal without reasonable cause.
j) Willfully permitting an owned animal to roam on streets or leaving it on the streets to die of disease, old age or disability.
k) Offering for sale an animal which is suffering pain due to mutilation, starvation, thirst, overcrowding or other ill-treatment.
l) Mutilating or killing animals through cruel manners such as using strychnine injections.
m) Using an animal as bait for another animal solely for entertainment.
n) Organizing, keeping, using or managing any place for animal fighting.
o) Shooting an animal when it is released from captivity for such purpose.
Treating animals cruelly is punishable with a fine of Rs. 10 which may extend to Rs. 50 on first conviction. On subsequent conviction within three years of a previous offence, it is punishable with a fine of Rs. 25 which may extend to Rs. 100 or imprisonment of three months or with both. Performing operations like Phooka or any other operations to improve lactation which is injurious to the health of the animal is punishable with a fine of Rs. 1000 or imprisonment up to 2 years or both. The government further has the power to forfeit or seize or destroy the animal. Contravention of any order of the committee regarding experimentation on animals is punishable with a fine up to Rs. 200.
according to my point of view there is no proper strict action taken against animal abusers and this has to change
the strictest action should be taken against the heartless animal abusers just the way they abused the animal
