IATA and ICAO: Ban "Father" Nick Alexandris, Bill Alefantis, Ken Stathakis, and Peter Chilakos from the Travel Industry

IATA and ICAO: Ban "Father" Nick Alexandris, Bill Alefantis, Ken Stathakis, and Peter Chilakos from the Travel Industry

The Issue

Since 2010, Nicholas Alexandris, a former priest in the Greek Orthodox Church, has been involved in several shady airline-related enterprises that have left thousands of travelers of the far spread Greek diaspora stranded at airports worldwide.   He preys on the Greek pride of the homeland, and could be seen on Greek news outlets touting "authentic Greek hospitality"  and "more luggage allowances than any other airline" or my personal favorite, "Greek Pride in the Sky"!

The latest scam was SkyGreece Airlines, which began flying in early 2015, and stopped flying in July 2015, after several cancellations and delays of its only aircraft (not to mention one in-flight emergency), left hundreds of passengers stranded in Athens, Toronto, Zagreb, and New York, most of them elderly and children.  Entire families were left stranded and had to use what little they had left to get back home.  A good majority of the most vocal passengers have shared their tale on the Facebook group "SkyGreece Troubles".  When he was asked about the passengers he left stranded, he went so far as to call them "crisis actors"  paid for by other airlines that wanted to see SkyGreece fail.  Not only is this false, but he could (and should) be sued for defamation.

SkyGreece had been approached by quite a few reputable aviation start up consultants and firms about setting up a viable business plan, only to be turned away and laughed at by this fraud in a Priest's frock.

Where was this charlatan of a Priest this whole time since the cancellations?  He's been living high on the hog and partying it up on the island of Mykonos and in Athens' nightclubs.  He needs to be banned from this industry  and let responsible and experienced airline people offer nonstop flights to Greece. I propose to the IATA and ICAO that he be banned and blacklisted from ever operating a travel company or air carrier again.  People like him, and the other three jokers make other more experienced and better planned concepts and management teams look bad and any new idea to connect two or more cities by air that much harder to accomplish.
