Although I was not there, I was told there was another assault on protesters during Wednesday night's protest. A male adult, possibly a Verity parishioner, left Verity's building and drove off in a vehicle -- he stopped to verbally disparage protesters before he left. He later returned as the passenger in a vehicle driven by an adult female. The car pulled over to the area adjacent to the protesters and, from approximately six feet away, the male passenger threw an egg which struck protester Darcy Betinis in the face, knocking off her glasses and drawing blood. I was told the police are considering the act a hate crime. I do not have details regarding the car or the license number. I have no doubt this is evidence of the fact you get violent behavior from your disciples/acolytes/followers/students/employees/children when you preach hatred and then argue a supreme being exists and its in control of everything and also OK with SOME kinds of murder.
