That's the case, folks. There is already legal precedent to revoke Verity's tax exemption at the federal level, which will affect their status at the state level. When you discriminate against a protected class, the IRS can simply revoke your exemption. Sodomite (which is a hilariously stupid way of saying homosexual) is a protected class. No other legal action is required; Verity's discrimination is de facto -- and for them to back away from it would be heresy in their own church... so they're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. And it's not a rock that's going to roll away in three days. (do Christian-themed jokes ever get old?) If the IRS removes their exemption, it would be up to Verity to raise enough money to challenge a Supreme Court decision that has been the law of the land for 33 years. And they ain't got the money; that's how we win. They can barely pay their lease -- and are probably going to lose that soon, anyway -- and they won't be allowed (by County code) to conduct services in Turdblossom's house again -- so yeah... that's the reason this is the way to go. (I was asked for the precedent case a couple times today and thought I'd share)
