Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) : In this disease body's immune system attacks its own tissue, joints, joint linings causing painful swelling at joints.

Over long periods Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can cause bone erosion ,joint deformity and joint fusion eventually limit daily activities of a person. While there's no cure for rheumatoid arthritis, physiotherapy and medication can help slow the disease's progression. 

This means RA patient has to consume lot of medicines throughout life and with continuous powerful medication health issues are bound to happen over period of time (eyes,kidney....)

Almost 1% of population is affected by RA, mostly women. RA disease in itself will have pressure on patient as well as family, over that financial burden will make life even more tough for anyone

Purpose of health insurance is to provide financial support during these difficult times but incase of patients with RA, insurance companies are not providing health insurance or permanently excluding RA and diseases caused/related to RA

Purpose of this petition is to request Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority India (IRDAI) and Ministry of health to intervene and bring in some law which limits insurance company in rejecting the health insurance on grounds of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Change will impact most of the Middle class and lower class people to curb the potential of loosing life saving and physiological pressure on family
