To the Residents and Members of the Town Council,

I am writing to express my urgent support for the construction of the proposed new cellular tower. The current lack of connectivity in our area is a severe deficiency in our local infrastructure that affects every resident's safety and quality of life.

The situation in our neighborhood is not about wanting faster internet speeds; it is about the complete absence of basic service. Many of us are unable to make a regular phone call from our own homes. This forces residents into a connectivity black hole, making everyday communication impossible without seeking out specific hotspots. 

In today’s world, a reliable cellular network is as essential as electricity and running water for public safety. During a crisis—whether a house fire, medical emergency, or severe weather event—residents rely heavily on mobile phones to contact first responders and receive crucial alerts. Our current coverage gap means we cannot consistently dial 911. This tower is a vital investment in the immediate safety and security of everyone. 

The lack of service impacts our daily routines in incredibly stressful ways. For parents, this service gap creates genuine anxiety and logistical nightmares:

 • We are often unable to keep in contact with our children's school or with our children themselves to coordinate school pickup and after-sports activities.

 • When plans change unexpectedly, we are left without a reliable way to communicate, forcing us into outdated, inefficient, and often unsafe coordination methods.

A working cell network allows families to coordinate safely and efficiently, reducing unnecessary stress and ensuring children are picked up on time and securely. 

I understand that some members of our community have expressed concerns regarding the health effects of radio waves. It is vital that we base our decisions on established scientific consensus, not misinformation or fear.

Decades of independent research and consensus from premier global health and regulatory bodies consistently confirm that cellular technology operating within established safety guidelines poses no proven health risk. Organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) ensure that safety standards are incredibly strict and include vast margins. The "Facebook science" circulating online should not outweigh the consensus of thousands of medical and engineering experts worldwide.

Building this new tower addresses a critical safety deficit, fixes unacceptable daily logistical challenges, and ensures our community can function effectively and safely in the 21st century.

I urge you to consider the tangible benefits and immediate needs of the community and approve this essential infrastructure development.
