As residents of Franklin, IN, we have seen firsthand the dangers that come with high-speed traffic on our streets. Shawn Henson and Amy Harness have witnessed countless vehicles exceeding speeds of 60+ mph on Turning Leaf Dr., a residential area where children play and families live. Our community includes vulnerable individuals such as a sweet young boy in a wheelchair and a deaf child who also reside on Turning Leaf Dr. Their safety is compromised every day by the excessive speeds at which vehicles travel down this road. Furthermore, there are bus stops located along this street where children wait to be picked up for school - another potential hazard due to speeding cars.

Neighbors have even reported instances of vehicles ending up in their yards due to these excessive speeds. We fear it will take an accident or fatality before action is taken by the City to address this issue.

We are specifically requesting stop signs be installed at two key intersections: Turning Leaf and Mach Lane, as well as Turning Leaf and Cobra Drive. These measures would help control vehicle speed, making our streets safer for everyone.
