The Issue

Randolph Rd. in Pasadena, TX has become a dangerous stretch of road, particularly for our cherished companion animals and children. It’s a street where vehicles continuously exceed speed limits unchecked as they race through the straight, unobstructed length. As someone who has witnessed far too many tragic fatalities involving both beloved pets and near-misses with young children, the concern is deeply personal and urgent.

The lack of speeding enforcement, with no speed traps or patrol officers regularly monitoring, leaves our community living in constant fear. Families hesitate to let their children play outside or even walk along the sidewalks due to the reckless speeding that makes every outing a perilous venture. Our community deserves a safe environment where our children are free to play, ride their bikes, and simply enjoy their neighborhood without fearing for their lives.

Adding speed bumps to Randolph Rd. is a crucial step in implementing a long-term solution to combat excessive speeding. Speed bumps have been proven effective in enforcing speed limits naturally by physically limiting the speed at which vehicles can travel. They are cost-effective, require minimal maintenance, and most importantly, they save lives. Installing them on Randolph Rd. would significantly enhance the safety of our neighborhood.

Now is the time for our local government to prioritize the safety and well-being of its residents by taking concrete action. We need the support of our community to call on the City of Pasadena to install speed bumps on Randolph Rd. to protect our children, our pets, and everyone who calls this place home.

Please sign this petition to urge the City of Pasadena to take immediate action to make Randolph Rd. a safer place for everyone. Your signature can make a pivotal difference for our community’s safety. Together, we can bring about change and ensure a secure, livable environment for all residents. ** My intention is to eventually bring this matter before City Council, and I believe doing so with a petition will help ensure our voices are fully heard. The petition serves as community backing and shows that this is not just one person’s concern, but a shared priority for our neighborhood.
