Parents worry about their kids every time they leave the house, and children are being robbed of their right to enjoy outdoor activities that should be inherently safe. This tragic incident underscores the urgent need for increased safety measures in our neighborhood, particularly in places where our children gather to play, socialize, and grow.
Our skate park, like many others, serves as a haven for young people, a place where they can express themselves and hone their skills. But without proper security, it has unfortunately become a target for those who would do harm. It's time we change that narrative. Installing security cameras is a simple yet effective way to deter potential criminal activities and protect our children from harm.
