Install Noise Cameras on Hill Road to Stop Loud Motorbike Racing in Wentworth Point

Install Noise Cameras on Hill Road to Stop Loud Motorbike Racing in Wentworth Point
The issue
Last year from Spring till the end of Summer, extremely loud motorbikes on Hill Road in Wentworth Point have been racing most nights from midnight till 4am, passing by again and again approximately every hour. Thousands of people living in apartments facing Hill Road have been left with little change to have a proper sleep for over 6 months. We have received information from our neighbours in Newington reporting that the racing goes all the way to Holker Street.
Extreme night loud noise and speed are both safety concerns.
The good season is now approaching and we don't want to repeat that horrible summer. Those are not regular motorbikes but instead they are the kind built to make extremely loud noise and having those racing for the whole night almost every night, especially when it is hot and we want to keep our window open, is not acceptable, unsafe and illegal. While Police is aware of the problem, they can only act if they are present when these motorbike are passing by or if someone is able to film or record their plate numbers.
Noise cameras would be a permanent solution: take photos and issue fines, discouraging anti-social and illegal behaviours such as this one. They work like speed cameras, but they activate with loud noises instead of speed. Used in major cities in the World and now on trial in Wollongong and Bayside, they could be introduced by our Councils very soon.
We ask the Council of Parramatta to install one on Hill Road as soon as possible, plus we ask our State and Federal Government representatives to support Councils with the installation of this technology more broadly over Sydney. We also ask the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) to please include Hill Road, Wentworth Point NSW 2127 into the current trial.
Please support our cause by signing our petition and sharing it. The more we are, the strongest our cause will be when we will send a formal request to the our Council and our local State and National representatives. We will then keep collecting signatures and periodically send them on to our representatives.
