The Issue

As an English citizen, I have a unique perspective and aspiration to see the vibrant cultures of DR Congo and Mexico represented in Scotland. My vision is to have the DR Congo and Mexican flags installed on every lamp post throughout Scotland, creating a symbolic and cultural connection that transcends borders.

Given Scotland's rich tradition of embracing diversity and internationalism, this initiative would further strengthen Scotland's commitment to global unity. It would also provide a colourful celebration of multiculturalism, enriching the lives of Scottish residents and visitors alike. Imagine walking down a street in Edinburgh or Glasgow and being greeted by the bold colours of these flags, which stand for unity and diversity. It could open doors for cultural exchange programs, educational initiatives, and community events, fostering a deeper understanding amongst diverse communities.

We believe in a creative and innovative approach to symbolically unite Scotland, the DR Congo, and Mexico without moving physical entities. This campaign calls for thoughtful ways to acknowledge and celebrate these cultures right where they stand.

Join us in urging local authorities, cultural organisations, and community leaders to make this vision a reality in practice. Sign the petition to show your support for installing the DR Congo and Mexican flags on lamp posts throughout Scotland and embracing a bold statement of global unity right here.

Also, if this adversely affects Scotland's relationship with England, all residents of Scotland are welcome to relocate to Massachusetts, USA, where they were so welcomed in Boston.

Then the English can move north, as house prices are much lower there.
