Growing up in Pontypridd, the community has always been the heart and soul of my childhood. Whether it was taking strolls through Ynysangharad War Memorial Park or enjoying a refreshing swim at Lido Ponty, the local landmarks have created memories that last a lifetime. However, other families and I believe there is a crucial addition that would enhance our community even further — a modern, inclusive, and free-to-access interactive water splash pad.

The installation of a splash pad would offer families from all walks of life a welcoming space to cool off during the warmer months, providing a safe and fun environment for children to play and explore. Not only would this attract more visitors to Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, but it would also provide an inclusive recreational facility that can be accessed by everyone, regardless of age or ability.
