On the morning of October 8th, 2024, the heart-breaking tragedy of a fatal motorcycle accident shook our lives irrevocably. A dedicated worker, a loving fiancé and father of 3 lost his life on his way to work only five minutes away from the workplace. This tragic accident occurred on I60 West road where it merges onto the hazardous intersection of New Circle Rd. West. Tragically, the deadly combination of heavy traffic and lack of adequate traffic control claimed his life. But this was not a sole incident. The intersection is notorious for its high rate of accidents — several of which have been fatal. An effective solution to this growing problem is long overdue, and it's time we demand safety for our community members. We firmly believe that installing a stoplight at this intersection can pre-emptively prevent such tragic accidents. Hence, this petition is an appeal to the concerned authorities to prioritize our request and protect our citizens from encountering the same fate as our loved one.
