I thought I'd let everyone know I thought it could be helpful if I emailed a few agencies and members of government. So far I've reached out to:
- London Mayor Josh Morgan
- Middlesex-London Health Unit
- Premier Doug Ford
- The MPP for my riding
- The Minister of Health
- Two members of the Senate
If anyone wants to email any of these agencies as well, you can find all their contact info through Google.
This is what I wrote in the body of the email:
"Hello. I hope this email finds you well.
In response to the abandoned infant discovered downtown this morning, I started a petition to get a Safe Haven Baby Box installed in London.
Considering this isn't the first infant to be found abandoned, I think this is long overdue. I wanted to make your office aware because if this is something that aligns with your values, you could help make this happen.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out via phone or email.
Thank you."
