A fellow resident recently received a response from SCDOT that details how they determine signal patterns, and I have to ask - does it make sense that the lanes entering Cane Bay and turning left onto 176 warrant a green arrow due to high traffic volume leaving Cane Bay , but the opposite direction doesn’t?

Most (if not all) of the cars coming into Cane Bay originally exited from the same road - the side that desperately needs a green turn arrow. With the added traffic from the apartments and Fairwinds Blvd, the left turn out of Cane Bay is more backed up than ever.
