As a lifelong supporter and fan of England's football, it is deeply distressing to see the team's performance decline under the stewardship of Gareth Southgate. His strategies and decisions have left many of us disappointed and despondent. Despite Southgate leading England to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals, the performance in the UEFA Nations League and other tournaments has been erratic and unimpressive. We must put the England team's future first. That said, we want to trigger a conversation on the need for Southgate to step down - for England's Football Association to seriously consider this change in the best interest of our beloved team and nation's pride.
