Initiate Southern Command Intervention in Venezuela for Human Rights Violations

Initiate Southern Command Intervention in Venezuela for Human Rights Violations
The Issue
As a native Venezuelan, I have observed the constant decline in living conditions in my beloved country. The humanitarian crisis has taken its toll on my family and community, pushing many to seek asylum and better opportunities elsewhere. The future of Venezuela, which has been a place of joy and prosperity for us, is now shrouded in uncertainty.
Venezuela, once a nurturing place to many happy families, is now in shambles due to severe human rights violations, its dangerous links with drug trafficking posing a substantial threat to the region's stability. Political suppression, absence of fair trials, and ruthless punishment have become the norm in Venezuela. According to the UN Human Rights Office, there have been 6,800 extrajudicial killings in the country between January 2018 and May 2019 (BBC News, 2019).
It is high time that the world acknowledged this crisis and took decisive steps toward resolving it. We therefore request the activation of the Southern Command to intervene in Venezuela. This intervention is not just a matter of restoring peace and democracy, but it's also a matter of regional security and human dignity.
We cannot stand by and watch as the nation we love continues to crumble, and we implore you to act now. Please sign this petition to pave the way for tangible change and protect the future of Venezuela.
