Ever since his indistincturous involvement in the White House, Elon Musk has displayed a disturbing pattern of behavior that is affecting the majority of our population. His actions and involvement in decision making are poised to destroy the lives of the most vulnerable in our Nation. Those actions suggest that he has a dismissive attitude towards women, people of color, and those he deems beneath him. Undeniably, this is a disconcerting viewpoint that has no place in a public service position.

In addition to the above,  Elon Musk's staff has been caught plugging into hard drives inside the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Treasury Department, and the General Services Administration (GSA). The aides were discovered at OPM accessing systems, including a vast database known as the Enterprise Human Resources Integration (EHRI), which contains sensitive information such as dates of birth, Social Security numbers, performance appraisals, home addresses, pay grades, and length of service for government. Employees were locked out of computer systems and offices and there were reports of personal items being searched. To our knowledge,  Musk was never fully vetted before being tasked to oversee the newly created Department of Government Efficiency. There was no thorough background check and no security clearance. 

Musk is perceived as a puppet-master in the Trump administration, wielding far too much control and influence. There are numerous concerns that his biases could adversely affect decisions that should be made in the interest of all people. Justifiably, an impartial and thorough investigation into Musk's actions and stances is necessary to ensure that our government is operating in a fair and equitable manner. There is a pressing need for transparency and accountability within the White House, and this action against Musk is a step in the right direction.

Consequently, we call on our representatives to initiate this much-needed investigation into Elon Musk's role within the White House and to remove him from his position should the findings necessitate. Now is the time for action, for reassurance that our government values and serves all of its citizens equitably.
