I write this petition from a very personal place. I am one of the individuals directly affected by the proposed policies diminishing MediCare, MedicAid and Social Security Disability. I've been waiting for what feels like a lifetime for a kidney transplant, and I am finally at the cusp of eligibility. Now, as it seems, proposed government actions directly threaten my chances at a life saving procedure.

The year 2025 has seen a wave of dangerous domestic and international inactions. From the President to Senators and House Representatives, a lack of attention towards the rights and wellbeing of U.S citizens has been alarmingly obvious. This is no mere assertion. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that under the proposed policies, roughly 32 million people would lose health coverage in the next decade (Congressional Budget Office report, July 2025). Major cuts in medical research funding further exacerbate the situation.

Our democracy allows for recourse in such trying times. "We The People"call for a special emergency recall election for the President, federal Senators, and House Representatives. This is not just about my medical procedure. It's about standing up for the livelihoods of millions who sit in the face of impending devastating changes. Stand with me, stand for us.
