The City of Hemet California is under seige with proposals to build massive warehouses in the most inappropriate places. The Hemet Logistics West Project is to be built right next to the property line of The Lakes at Hemet West 55+ retirement community. The Simpson/ Warren Project is proposed to be built directly across the street from a long established eldery community. The residents the Lakes at Hemet West, Royal Holiday Mobile Home Park and Solara Community are invited to join the petition to be included in the class action lawsuit. The lawsuit will initially for $85,000,000 to be alloted according to established law between each member of the lawsuit. As an established community, we have lived with serenity and peace for years, until recently. Warehouses are being built next to our homes, disturbing our tranquility and negatively affecting our environment. As senior citizens, the noise, pollution and heavy traffic are a cause of great concern for our health and well-being. This is not just our story; millions of older adults across the country are facing similar issues, their peaceful neighborhoods turned into commercial hubs.

This sudden change in the landscape is inconsiderate of the needs of senior citizens. It is critical to get public involvement on this issue, as homes should be a sanctuary, especially for those who have spent their entire lives in service to society. It is our right to age peacefully in the comfort of our own homes without the burden of unnecessary disturbances.
