The 18th of August. Time for a change. Take a day off work for humanity. You have the power to stop this world on its axis. Use it to stop genocide. 
As a human being, I cannot tolerate seeing babies intentionally starved to death right in front of our eyes on a daily basis. The continuing humanitarian crisis in Gaza is a moral outrage that demands immediate global attention and action. The people of Gaza are suffering from intolerable conditions, largely exacerbated by external forces and blockades, which have led to a situation where they are deprived of basic human rights, food, water, and medical supplies.

The situation is dire: the ongoing conflict has resulted in severe shortages in essential resources. According to the United Nations, over 70% of the population is food insecure, and hospitals are struggling to provide basic medical care due to a lack of supplies and electricity. UNICEF reports that children are the most affected, with many suffering from malnutrition and a lack of proper medical care. This is nothing short of a humanitarian crisis.

The international community can no longer turn a blind eye to these atrocities. It is imperative that we take a stand and show our solidarity with the people of Gaza by organizing a day of civil disobedience, a worldwide strike day where citizens of every nation refuse to go to work. Imagine the profound impact if on this designated day, businesses shut down, schools closed, and everyday activities came to a standstill—this collective action would send a powerful message to leaders and decision-makers across the globe.

We demand an end to the violence and immediate action to implement long-term solutions that will ensure the safety and well-being of Palestinian civilians. The power of the people is immense, and through coordinated efforts, this humanitarian crisis can be addressed. We urge international leaders to facilitate dialogues and peace agreements that respect the rights and dignity of Palestinians while ensuring their access to essential resources.

I call on us all, those with humanity, to strike for 1 day, globally, we have the power. If you can no longer take these atrocities, if you can no longer tolerate the corruption and violence and deceit of your government and media, you have the power to change it all. 
by simply missing 1 single day of work. By not making any purchases or spending any money on that day. Spend the day with your family in a park or at home. If even only 25% of the world does this on the same day, the world will stop. Our leaders will beg us to go back to work. And that’s how it should be. Leaders serving us. Not leaders manipulating us, using our sweat blood and tears to make weapons to kill the innocent and rob them too.

‎الثامن عشر من أغسطس. حان وقت التغيير.
‎بصفتي إنسانًا، لا أستطيع أن أتحمل رؤية الأطفال يُجَوَّعون عمدًا حتى الموت أمام أعيننا بشكل يومي. الأزمة الإنسانية المستمرة في غزة تمثل فظاعة أخلاقية تتطلب اهتمامًا عالميًا فوريًا وتحركًا عاجلاً. يعاني سكان غزة من ظروف لا تُحتمل، تفاقمت بشكل كبير بسبب الحصار والقوى الخارجية، مما أدى إلى حرمانهم من أبسط حقوقهم الإنسانية، من غذاء وماء وأدوية.
‎الوضع خطير جدًا: فقد أدت الأزمة المستمرة إلى نقص حاد في الموارد الأساسية. ووفقًا لتقارير الأمم المتحدة، فإن أكثر من 70٪ من السكان يعانون من انعدام الأمن الغذائي، والمستشفيات تعجز عن تقديم الرعاية الطبية الأساسية بسبب نقص الإمدادات وانقطاع الكهرباء. وتشير تقارير منظمة اليونيسف إلى أن الأطفال هم الأكثر تضررًا، حيث يعاني الكثير منهم من سوء تغذية ونقص رعاية طبية مناسبة. هذه كارثة إنسانية بكل المقاييس.
‎لا يمكن للمجتمع الدولي أن يواصل غض الطرف عن هذه الفظائع. من الضروري أن نتخذ موقفًا ونُظهر تضامننا مع شعب غزة من خلال تنظيم يوم عصيان مدني – يوم إضراب عالمي يرفض فيه المواطنون الذهاب إلى العمل. تخيلوا التأثير العميق لو أُغلقت الشركات والمدارس وتوقّفت الحياة اليومية تمامًا في هذا اليوم – هذا التحرك الجماعي سيوجه رسالة قوية إلى القادة وصناع القرار في جميع أنحاء العالم.
‎نطالب بوقف العنف فورًا، واتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة لوضع حلول طويلة الأمد تضمن سلامة وكرامة المدنيين الفلسطينيين. إن قوة الشعوب عظيمة، ومن خلال جهود منسقة، يمكن معالجة هذه الأزمة الإنسانية. نناشد القادة الدوليين تسهيل الحوارات واتفاقيات السلام التي تحترم حقوق الفلسطينيين وكرامتهم، وتضمن وصولهم إلى ما يحتاجون إليه من موارد أساسية.
‎صوتك يمكن أن يحدث فرقًا. ندعو كل من يؤمن بالعدالة إلى الانضمام إلى هذه المبادرة – كن صوت من لا صوت له، وكن متضامنًا مع أهل غزة. وقّع هذه العريضة وتعهد بالمشاركة في إضراب عالمي للمطالبة بوقف الإبادة والتجويع في غزة. لنتحد ونتحرك الآن لنحقق السلام والعدالة.
‎أناشد ضميرنا الجمعي، أناشد كل من بقي في قلبه ذرة إنسانية، أن يُضرب عن العمل ليوم واحد فقط، في جميع أنحاء العالم. نملك القوة. إن لم تعد تستطيع تحمّل هذه الفظائع، إن كنت ترفض الفساد والعنف والكذب من حكومتك وإعلامك، فاعلم أن بيدك التغيير.
‎فقط بمجرد التغيب عن العمل ليوم واحد. دون شراء أو إنفاق أي شيء في هذا اليوم. اقضِ هذا اليوم مع عائلتك في الحديقة أو في المنزل. إن فعل حتى 25% فقط من سكان العالم ذلك في اليوم ذاته، فسيتوقف العالم. وسيتوسل القادة إلينا أن نعود، وهكذا يجب أن تكون الأمور: قادة يخدمون شعوبهم، لا يتلاعبون بهم ويستغلون عرقهم ودمهم لصنع أسلحة تقتل الأبرياء وتنهبهم.
