Blackmagic Design are offering a free and paid, software-only version of Davinci Resolve for Windows and OS X users. They're also offering a very expensive software+hardware system for Linux users.

We understand addressing every Linux distro out there is unthinkable, but there are at least two distros that deserve attention and would probably cover most Linux users in the world. Those are Fedora and Ubuntu. You know Fedora well, since CentOS, which is the OS of your current Linux hard+soft bundle, belongs to the same family. Ubuntu represents the other big family in Linux distros and is very well suited for Davinci Resolve. There's even a new packaging format (called snap) that will allow Davinci Resolve to be packaged to the exact requirements of Blackmagic Design, not depending on the OS's base configuration or standard libraries. This packaging format is available for most distros and supports updates and paid software. It can be used as to deliver your software as standalone or by making it available in the distro's app store.

There are hundreds of professionals moving to Linux for its robustness and hardware availability. We would love to have our free and paid software-only versions like Windows and OS X users have. You already know Linux. It's only a little step away. Bring it on!
