Save six flags new Orleans and restore it into New Jazzland

Save six flags new Orleans and restore it into New Jazzland
The Issue
Mayor LaToya Cantrell of new orleans is planning to demolish the site as top priority although her ideas are good i believe instead of demolishing the lot entirely she should incorporate fixing the park as well as incorporating her ideas for a fun environment for the children of new orleans as well as rename the park jazzland 2 or New Jazzland!
Although most of the buildings are sadly unsaveable the coasters and metal frames are most likely saveable as they were built to withstand hurricanes like beast that was Katrina
Six flags new Orleans or formerly jazzland was a amusement park thats made its home in new Orleans for years after jazzland closed six flags took ownership and revived and thrived the park
That was til sadly hurricane katrina hit new Orleans and demolished this once beautiful part! And because it sat in water for months sadly most of the small structures were water damaged between that and years of damage the only thing saveable are the rollarcoasters and metal structures
Sadly although six flags was contracted to repair the part they found a loophole out there contract and left the damages to new Orleans to clean up.
For years this errie structure has sat abandoned and left to rot the city has tried to find a home and purpose for her including reviving her into jazzland again most resently but sadly Mayor LaToya Cantrell believes it should just be destroyed since nobody has stood up to save or bring life into what could be a beautiful park once again!
Neighborhood locals could tell you about the days happiness and laughter once filled this park and now only crickets and beautiful errie abandoned structures
Six flags new Orleans remains the one of thw last reminders of katrina for the city and the last unjustices not fixed by her destruction
I've never been there but ive heard stories of six flags new orleans and this park has become a interest of mine for sometime. I remember first hearing about her from exploring with josh's abandoned exploration of her as well as other youtubers.
(Hell i even own a old hat from six flags new orleans! I bought it cuz it looked kool and the tale behind it intrigued me it's probably my most favorite hat of all time!)
For the longest time i hoped maybe someday she would be rebuild and when i heard they might resurrect her into Jazzland again i felt it it was only right to see new Orleans return her back to her glory and glorious name
But tonight i stumble upon hearing she may be destroyed!
It hurts me to hear this! It feels like a unjust end to this story! So many parks storys end this way and i was hoping jazzland/six flags new orleans would be different..
Ther are buildings and tails of these landmarks making a comback! Treasure Island hotel is getting rebuilt! The astrodome is also being resurrected and is now a landmark officially!
I know she won't be the same but we can rebuild from whats still not destroyed! The rollarcoasters are still strong! They can be repaired! New rides attractions can be built and Mayor LaToya Cantrell can still have her vision but better! She can combine her wildlife and zipline ideas with the rollarcoasters and new rides of her choice!
And we can rename the park New Jazzland as a means of forgetting the past and what katrina has took from us!..
She was closed for the storm.. I think its time for her to Reopen!
