As of 2018, Hollow Knight has sold more than 2.8 million copies, according to Team Cherry. Its impact on the Metroidvania style games and the gaming industry as a whole is undeniable. Such an influential game merits recognition in the Video Game Hall of Fame. We, therefore, call upon the International Center for the History of Electronic Games to consider Hollow Knight for induction into the Video Game Hall of Fame.
