All public employees work very hard and with finances have to start planning their retirement many years into the future. Most start more than 10 years ahead with planning in order to be able to afford retirement. In regard to teachers this is extremely unfair.

This bill is unfair and will ruin years of planning for retirement from a very high stress job. This will not help with drawing people into the field of education with the already growing teacher shortage. It also won't help those people who would like teachers who are older to retire and make room for new teachers entering the profession.

Lastly, and most importantly, the rules of the game shouldn't be changed when you are already in the game and nearing the halfway mark or more. It's completely unfair and also an unnecessary added stressor.
