Laughter is not a crime. Jokes are meant to entertain, not offend. But today, Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), Apoorva Mukhija (the.rebel.kid) and many people related to them are being targeted, their content erased, and their career put at risk—all because of a HYPOTHETICAL joke.

The vast majority of India derives joy from someone else's downfall. But I know there are many of us out there, who can see and recognize what is happening and just wish that there was something you could do to support them.

A comedian’s job is to make people laugh, to push boundaries, and to reflect society in a unique way. India's Got Latent cracked this! They gave a whole generation something to look forward to, to make their weekends worthwhile. It is unfair and heartbreaking to see artists being silenced while real issues that need attention are ignored. The government should focus on solving real problems, not dragging comedians to court.

We stand with Samay Raina and BeerBiceps and every artist who dares to create. If we let this happen today, tomorrow, more voices will be shut down.
