Independent Inquiry on the LSU General Elections 2023

Independent Inquiry on the LSU General Elections 2023
The Issue
The students at Langara College are directly affected by the irregularities observed during the recent LSU general election. Here are a few points to consider:
- The Budget of LSU is more than 3 Million CAD per year.
- Why were Most students declared INELIGIBLE without a proper valid reason?
- Why were the LSU Bylaws violated and ignored by the Executives?
- Policy number B2510 states, "This eligibility screening process is simply to ensure that baseline requirements are met. The process is intended to include those who meet the requirements, not to screen for the best candidate or candidates."
- Why the above-mentioned policy was violated and not addressed by the CRO and the Electoral Committee?
- The CRO needs to be an independent third-party person then why a person who has been working with LSU for half a decade was appointed the CRO again?
- Why no DOCUMENT of APPEAL was given by the Screening Committee?
- Why students are not given the records of the LSU Standing Committee?
- What is the Conflict of Interest between some candidates and the Staff?
Student Investigators have substantial proof to support their opinions and the proof of the Conflict of Interest.
All the Langarans are requested to consider the above-mentioned points and sign this petition to establish an independent third-party inquiry commission over LSU General Elections.
