INCREDIBOX SPRUNKI: THE PROBLEM WITH USING IPS

The Issue

So people decided to not make sprunki ocs from memory, but TOOK IPS AND TURNED THEM INTO SPRUNKI OCS! And according to google, generally, it is acceptable to create fan-made "sprunki ocs" based on popular intellectual property (IP), as long as it is for non-commercial, personal, and transformative use, BUT, If you upload a "Sprunki OC" based on a popular IP to YouTube, several outcomes are possible, depending on the IP owner and how the video is created. The most likely consequence is an automated copyright claim from YouTube's Content ID system. But some people take a canon character, slap a sprunki body on it, and call it a day. You cannot take a canon character, change one minor aspect, and claim it as an Original Character (OC). The law still considers this a "derivative work" based on the original copyrighted character. Simply changing a character's species or color does not change their origin or make them legally "yours". Even if people take copyrighted canon art and alter it for a "Sprunki OC" video on YouTube, the action remains a form of copyright infringement. it is very illegal, And I’m mad about it. sign this to stop it
