Tiktok is used by billions globally, but it does not value or respect its creators.  From malicious, dishonest reporting leading to banning and punishments to allowing fraudulent accounts to benefit from stealing others content, these are the battles creators face both big and small.

How can we continue to create on a platform that does not value the people that create its content? First tiktok should create a better system to address the concerns of its creators. We should feel heard and have our problems addressed by a real human being. Secondly, Tiktok should make it policy to inform any creator of the exact nature of their ban including providing evidence, and improving its appeal function. Thirdly, there should be no tolerance for stealing and reposting others content without their consent,especially if that person is trying to financially benefit from it. 

Tiktok has been getting away with the mistreatment of its creators for far too long. Please consider adding your name to this petition to fight for better treatment and positive change in this online community. 

I had heard the stories of content creators being screwed over throughout the years, and when I started using tiktoklive I found myself temporarily banned. When I inquired as to why, they said they reviewed my case and could not repeal it. However, when i politely insisted they provide evidence or context for the ban so it didn't happen again I was told I had all the information they could share. 

This struck me as both unprofessional, dismissive, and wholly disrespectful. Someone could have hate reported me, but I had no recourse at all.

This lack of communication is far from unique to my story, and there are lots of creators big and small with many stories even worse then mine. So, I decided to poke a big bear with a small stick. Please join me and help spread the word!!
