Increase the wages of allied health NOT JUST NURSING!

Increase the wages of allied health NOT JUST NURSING!
The Issue
Allied health includes medical assistants, dental assistants and hygienists, phlebotomist and lab workers, CNAs, radiology technicians, ED technicians. Leave a comment if you work in allied health and what you do!
For years the deserving, hard working nursing of the US have been fighting for wage increases. This partially works because nursing is one of the various back bones of health care. It also works because the general public sees most healthcare workers below MDs as RNs for many reasons including simplification of MANY difficult titles and acronyms.
Nursing HAS gotten wage increases over the years regardless of the repercussions of it. However, most of the allied health sectors wages have stayed stagnant for over 6 years. We too have gotten increase work loads. The “nursing shortage” isn’t just nurses (further justifying my statement that most people this we’re all nurses).
Slowly minimum wage works salaries are being increased closer to what they should be. However, healthcare is ignoring this and is keeping us at the same wage.
We need nursing and everyone that called healthcare workers “heroes” to sign and share.
