The Issue

I'm writing as a concerned citizen who just cleaned up a large amount of waste in my local park. I care deeply about the environment and preserving the beauty of our community parks. The lack of trash and recycling bins is a significant problem, causing an increase in litter around these public spaces, not just in my park but many other parks too.

It's no secret that trash pollutes our environment and endangers wildlife. A report by the Environmental Protection Agency indicates that each American produced 4.9 pounds of waste daily in 2017. Imagine if every visitor to the park discarded just a small proportion of that waste improperly due to lack of appropriate waste bins.

Providing more trash and recycling bins encouraging park users to responsibly dispose of their waste - an easy but effective solution. By doing so, we not only reduce the litter in our parks but also contribute positively toward recycling efforts and a sustainable environment.

Therefore, we urgently call for more trash and recycling bins to be placed in our parks. We need this initiative to protect our environment, the scenic beauty of our community, and the health of local wildlife. It's time to turn our attention to this issue. Please sign this petition and urge authorities to increase the number of trash and recycling containers in our parks. Let's give people a place to put their trash and make our parks clean, safe, and enjoyable for all.
