The major source of revenue for the Federal and State governments is through collection of taxes. There is a constant push to increase collection of this revenue but somehow there does not seem to be a push to make it easier for the common citizen to participate in that endaevor by making it easier for them to do their part.

If the goverment took action to make for an open friendly environment of partnering, that will result in more nett tax collection and also a nation of citizens that are comfortable with doing the right thing.
