The Issue

I was attacked by a client of the Stonehenge home at 222 Speedvale, while their staff just watched and did nothing to protect me or anyone else in the community. This horrifying incident left me with $1000 worth of damages to my car and personal items, not to mention the mental distress and days of work I’ve missed. The management of Stonehenge claimed they would cover the damages, but now they refuse to take responsibility. This situation is unacceptable and has compelled me to take action.

The Stonehenge facility brings individuals with complex needs into our neighborhood but fails to provide the appropriate security measures to ensure the safety of nearby residents. This neglect places innocent people at risk and burdens the community with unnecessary fear and worry. The staff at Stonehenge should be trained and equipped to handle conflicts and manage the behavior of their clients effectively. It is imperative that they take responsibility for the situations they create, rather than allowing dangerous incidents to occur unaddressed.

Stonehenge's negligence not only threatens our personal safety but also damages the reputation and peace of our community. Immediate steps must be taken to either shut down the facility or drastically improve security measures. This can include hiring trained security personnel, implementing strict monitoring systems, and establishing an emergency response protocol to handle any potential threats.

Furthermore, Stonehenge should be held accountable for any damages or disruptions caused by their clients. Compensation for affected individuals should be a standard practice to mitigate the harms experienced by community members. Holding the facility to a higher standard of responsibility and care is essential for protecting public welfare.

We cannot allow the safety and well-being of our community to be compromised any longer. I urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action to close the Stonehenge home at 222 Speedvale or enforce strict security protocols to ensure public safety. Please sign this petition to support a safer and more responsible neighborhood for us all.
