Increase Permanent Police Presence on Public Transport

Increase Permanent Police Presence on Public Transport
The Issue
a special protocol for public transport drivers when they need NWP. 1. Communication of vehicle position.2. nature or type of crime. 3. Number of persons involved in the conflict. STOP to the questions, who are you? What's your name? How old are you? Where do you live? What phone number do you have? ECC. According to GDPR, being surrounded by the public on the bus, the communication of personal data contravenes the LAWS IN MATTERS. Laborious discussion with "ticketer" to install Silent Mode Call in case of major emergencies can reduce the risk of conflict escalation and save a life, possibly! Have you ever wondered how a driver feels after being involved in this type of event? How does it get home and what impact does it have on physical and mental health? Have you ever wondered why many quit their jobs? Have you ever calculated how a driver of another nationality can face the wrath of locals when they hear the difference in pronunciation and accent? Have you ever wondered how all this can be avoided? Why is there no control over public transport? Why is there NO education, prevention, or identification of negative elements in the community? Why is it tacitly accepted the daily presence at the bus station at Rhyl of antisocial elements who drink and smoke in the public space? What a good example is given to young people, who tend to do illegalities anyway!
This is not an isolated incident; just last few weeks we saw a 58-year-old bus driver getting stabbed by a teenager. These incidents highlight an urgent need for increased police presence on public transport systems across our network.
According to statistics from The Office for National Statistics (ONS), crime rates in public transportation have been steadily increasing over recent years. This trend is alarming and calls for immediate action.
The presence of law enforcement officers can deter potential offenders and provide passengers with much-needed security during their journeys. It's time we prioritize safety over convenience.
We urge local authorities to take immediate steps towards ensuring permanent police presence in all forms of public transport - buses, trains, trams - at all times of day or night.
Please sign this petition if you agree that it's time for a change in our public transportation system's security measures!
