Increase funding for indigenous communities

The Issue

We are committed to raising awareness about the challenges that the Indigenous community face on a daily basis. Despite numerous efforts to rid these challenges, Indigenous people are still affected by systemic issues such as inadequate healthcare, insufficient infrastructure as well as cultural barriers that affect their well being.

The inadequate healthcare includes lack of access to modern/quality medicine, higher rates of illness, and various mental health challenges.
They face these problems on a daily basis, and we must address these disparities with equitable funding and policy reformations; we want to show that this is not only morally imperative but also a step forward in bringing the justice and equality they deserve.

Infrastructure issues, like unreliable water supplies, safe housing, and accessible transportation are all issues that are underfunded in the Indigenous territories.

If we pair this with the cultural barriers, and lack of understanding about the Indigenous ways of life, it creates many obstacles in overall progress.  Their education and cultural preservation are a crucial component in terms of funding as they are the main ways to empower the Indigenous voices as well as safeguards their history and language.

This petition is to call for the increased funding from our federal and state governments, and to focus on an approach that addresses the interconnected issues of healthcare, infrastructure, and cultural preservation. By allocating the needed resources, we can ensure that these Indigenous communities can be supported to overcome the challenges they have faced for generations.

By signing this petition, you are supporting the advocacy for a much needed change and helping to bring justice to Indigenous peoples. Let’s all work together to create a society where every community can flourish. Please sign and share this petition to make a difference.
